House Democrats are continuing their fight to hold big drug companies accountable when their products harm or kill our residents by passing a package of bills that will end the absolute immunity enjoyed by the pharmaceutical industry in Michigan and allow consumers to hold big drug companies accountable when dangerous drugs such as Vioxx harm or kill.
House Democrats sent this same plan to the Republican-controlled Senate in 2007, where it was never even brought up for a vote. After years of inaction by the Republican-led Senate, we are urging the Senate Majority Leader to pass this plan to repeal drug industry immunity in Michigan.
