Pass Unemployment Lifeline Now
YES! We must pass legislation helping 100,000 Michigan workers who will lose their unemployment lifeline unless the State Senate acts. The plan provides an additional 26 weeks of unemployment benefits to workers that participate in retraining programs.
If the Senate fails to act, Michigan workers will be out $138 million in federal stimulus dollars to help them get back on their feet and retrain for good-paying jobs.
Please join us in showing that Michigan values hard work and that big banks and lenders shouldn't be the only ones that get help in these troubled times – our working families should too. Sign our petition calling on the Senate to extend an unemployment lifeline to help Michigan's struggling workers.
