Dillon: This is just common sense legislation.  Let's face it; if we're using our taxpayer dollars, to give companies contracts or to incentivize them to grow in Michigan, let's hire Michigan people, right? 

Crowd: Right!

Dillon: Alright, so it's proud for me to be here today and I want to thank you for coming because the difference - we passed this last session and it died in the Senate.  What we need to do differently than what we did two years ago is that we're going to have to get the public to understand what we're doing in Lansing and get the Senate to act and not let it die in the Senate in the Senate this time. 

So this is one of ten press conferences across the state toward where we're going to the people to let you know that we're doing everything we can in Lansing to help improve the job climate in this great state.  So, I want to thank you all for coming out.  It is our privilege to serve you and represent you and believe me that the House Democrats have your best interest at heart.  We are working everyday to make certain that we have jobs in this state. 

Today is a big day too because we have the auto task force here meeting with our auto companies GM and Chrysler and the Governor and I actually had a chance to meet with Rattner and Bloom who are both here today and the good news it, they are committed to preserving a domestic auto industry which is critically important not just to Michigan but our country.  So today's a landmark day for us because number one, we're going to find hard today for Hire Michigan First, and then two, hopefully we impress the hell out of these guys from Washington to let them know that we need to preserve the domestic auto industry in the great state of Michigan.  So thanks for having me here today, it is a privilege to be here.
